All the lightweight mouldings have been manufactured and installed at the post-modern, two storey, fifty square home situated at 131 Watsons Road, Glen Waverley we spoke about last week, artist’s impression above. The detailed, large parapet moulding with dentals and the triangular gable below it, with the smaller parapet abutting from the upper part of the triangle look splendid! The balcony area looks great with the picture frame shape, created using small stringers and three windows are nicely finished with the addition of architraves and sills, all produced and installed by the Finishing Touch.

A large, stately house in Toorak at 63 St. Georges Road has been festooned with three special custom designed decorative mouldings. These are a variation on stringer moulds and measure 100mm x 40mm in three sections, making up twenty metres in total.

A post-modern, 35 square single storey dwelling at 81 Broadhurst Avenue, Reservoir will be finished with decorative corbel mouldings under the eaves along with stringers to complement. The windows will be decorated with architraves and sills. The decorative mouldings are currently being manufactured and will be installed within 2 weeks by the Finishing Touch. This installation will carry a 7 year warranty on all the fixing and is a solid reason to use Finishing Touch for both manufacture and installation. The builder for a property in Bowen Street, East Malvern has done just that, having decorative mouldings for this French provincial style home manufactured and installed recently by the Finishing Touch.

An owner/builder of a home in Wattle Valley Road, Mt. Evelyn has ordered 160 metres of Finishing Touch flatband mouldings, measuring 85mm x 35mm to be manufactured. This has been completed and the mouldings delivered. The owner/builder will install these lightweight, decorative mouldings himself.

It’s getting close! With the production of Finishing Touch decorative mouldings for a two storey, post-modern home in Maude Avenue, East Doncaster nearly completed, site works are about to commence. The house façade will come alive with the addition of French provincial window architraves and matching sills, with feature window headers over the lower storey windows and garage windows. The entrance will be beautifully enhanced with feature architraves further decorated with rivets. French provincial parapets and under gutter moulds create an elegant finish to the house.

A double storey, French provincial house in Templestowe is currently under development. This rather grand design has no less than seven arches, each measuring one metre in diameter as well as three round tapered columns with plinths for the bases of the columns. There’s the usual eave mouldings and parapet mouldings, but also unusual scotia mouldings, which are window reveals, that sit inside the window architraves, touching on the glass; these are sized at 115mm x 85mm.

A builder in Wangaratta is working on a Project that requires 200 lengths of decorative mouldings each 3 metres long x 20 mm and has contracted the Finishing Touch to manufacture their lightweight, high quality decorative mouldings for the purpose. The builder has elected to install the mouldings himself, being in a regional area. Usually the Finishing Touch supply their own contractors to install their decorative mouldings, as they use a proprietary render patch system which virtually eliminates any sign of joins and offer a seven year warranty on all fixing.

It is always distressing for home owners when mouldings fall off their house, but this often happens when cheap, poor quality decorative mouldings are used. The Finishing Touch have been called upon to supply their high quality, long lasting decorative mouldings to replace cheap, plastic mouldings falling off a home in Mascoma street, Strathmore. This two storey post-modern home is only four years old and will now be restored to its former glory with the lightweight, easy to install, high quality Finishing Touch decorative mouldings.
